Birthdays, Sacramento, Catch Up *funny*

Happy Bday to Clint, Joy, Brian, and Eric. I haven't had this much fun @ a house party in a long time. I also usually don't stay too long but it was completely chill. Thanks for the invite!

When you haven't seen your high school friends in a long time and you meet them again 1 of 2 things happen.  You either feel awkward as hell or just say "fuck it" just chill and enjoy the ride.  For me, it was neither.  There was one person who left the party early...and I totally forgot her name.  She was always referred to as "Hi There"....or "Oh yeah...I know."  If there was someone I was awkward with...it was with that person.  If you're reading this...please leave your name in the comment section.

There were a few awkward times where you're talkin with a group, a person, or nobody at all and you know what?  Why worry.  Good friend never leave good friends hangin.  Another solution is drinking.  You just have to drink enough to shed away the shy exterior but have enough judgement to engage with whoever.  If you have shit in your system, your consciousness for a person's expectation of you doesn't get in the way of jumping into conversations.  You just go and talk  For me, it was cool partly because it seemed that people were interested.  Also, when you're with people you know well.  Random chat works well.  Just don't be too damn random.  Kind of like this article.

Anway Drove to Sacramento from Pacifica.  Long as hell but kind of weird knowing I used live in Sac.  My friends...Clint and Joy lived next to Arco Arena (home of the Sactown Kings baby!) but alas...they are not Kings fans.  Must assimilate them.  They are one of the most hospitable couples I know.  They bought a house up there and I must say that it was pretty damn chill.  Props to their success and purchase of their new home.  Glad they (along with Eric and Brian) invited me to their B-Day party.  They opted for the 80's theme type of party and it worked out well.  Alot of us played Atari and played other shit like slinky and ultra mini basketball.  I really don't stay too long at parties but they were an exception.  There were about 13 of us hanging out and we were pretty nutty.  We even had a donkey shaped pinata...for the adults...which was funny as hell and not even related to our 80's theme.  More like a mexican's 80's.  j/k.  I have mexican friends.  Anyway, I loved it.  All of us had a chance to play.  So yeah...if you have a couple of mexican friends like I do...it helps alot in this arena.  Clint, the pinata controller, swung the fucker around like tetherball hitting some players in the face.  Not me.  I have to thank childhood friends like Jorge for teaching me. Mexicans are hardcore on this. They have technique. Mexicans have moms that swing it like a wrecking ball.  Anyway, when people were whacking the thing blindfolded, the pinata contained random items besides candy.  It even had condoms.  So yeah...it was more like Pornata (pronounced PORNyata for you retards ).

This was my face when the condoms fell out: -

We played spoons, "card flicker" (Greg's innovative game), cops/killers, and even gambled.

This is the kind of shit I miss sometimes.  If there was anything I missed when I was young it was just having plain fun.

Some highlights?  Here's one.

Shoutouts to Domster, Karen (props on winning the 80's contest...yeah...props), Eric, Marie, Robie, Ryan, Steven, Stephanie?, Leonard, Greg, "The Killer" (Adam?) and his girlfriend/wife?, and of course Clint and Joy.  I hope you guys like the Coffee Cake.

Yeah...I know.  Shoutouts are soo 80's... or is that 90's.  Do they still call it that?  Is it still "props"? WTF do they call it nowadays?
