Jet Li shows up at the Metreon

Yeah. Not often do you see this happening in SF. That eye on the right is me. I was just too stupid to unzoom my camera when the chance came for him to sign my game. Yay me.

Too lazy to put this in early.  This appearance happened Tuesday.

So yeah...he was debuting his first video game (Rise to Honor) at SF.  Why SF of all places?  The game takes place in Hong Kong AND San Francisco.  It even has fight scenes that take place in the Metreon and tunnel to Chinatown.  Pretty Nifty.  I didn't think I was going to be able to get a autograph since there were over 5000 in the Metreon.  That's unheard of in my life...this is probably normal for the folks in LA.  I was lucky to get a rare signing.  One cop asked 5 people to jump in if they bought the game.  I didn't.  Then some nice samaritan (who happened to work at the Playstation store did a huge favor for me)...

Cop:  Ok.  I can only take five more than Jet has to leave for Hong Kong.

He then points @ five people including me.

Cop:  Do you guys have the game?

4 people (showing newly purchased games):  Yup
Cop: Ok.  Go right ahead

Then looks at me

Cop:  What about you son?
Me:  I don't have a game
Cop:  Sorry...you can't...
Playstation clerk:  Here catch...

He tosses a copy of Rise To Honor PS2 game

PS clerk:  Pay for it after you get his autograph.
Me:  Oh Shit.  Thank you!
Cop:  Alright go ahead...but make it fast.

I think I'm using up all of my Yin.  My Yang will be piling up.  I should've walked out after the signing.  Nah, that would be pretty jacked up.

See the rest of the Jet Li pics here.  I'll have a video uploaded soon.

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
