This hasn't been the only time I've been on the radio. Just ask my brother. This'll probably be the 4th time in my whole lifetime that I've ever hit the airwaves. The other times happened before this site was ever conceived. I'll maybe write about those stories someday. But for now...
8:50 AM
KNBR Radio AM 1050
Jim Rome (JR): "Hello...welcome back to KNBR AM radio. We're back looking for more Red Sox fans to go back and express their feelings of giddiness on the station. Right now, let's move on to our next caller. Radford from Vallejo, California. How are you doin' Radford. Can I call you Rad? Hahaha"
Rad: "Hi Jim, I love your show and I listen to it every morning." well...almost.
JR: "Of course you do, but lets cut to the chase, how does it feel the win the big one?"
Rad: "I'm not sure."
JR: "How can you be not sure what to feel? The Sox won the World Series! You should call it the Rad Sox."
Rad (pauses): "I'm not a Red Sox fan."
JR: "So why did you call?"
Rad: "I happen to know some fans who work with me and know just how much it means to them. I know a fan who says their life is now complete because of their team's first championship."
JR: "Yeah...ain't that the truth? So are you a fan of any team?"
Rad: "Yes."
JR: "How does it feel seeing a fan of another team win one and yours doesn't?"
Rad: "I don't know but I do know that my book 'Let Me Play' by Radford Castro will sell. Check it out at Radcastr-"
Jim Rome cuts me off the air
JR: "What the hell was that? I wonder if he actually did know a Red Sox fan!"
