Installing the intake should be a breeze. However, I had a slight problem. I had a HKS Mega Flow Intake for the 3SGTE (GT-Four Engine) and they don't make any for my particular engine. This is the best I can get. Plus HKS is a very well renouned brand for this type of mod. It supposed to fit directly to the throttle body (the thing above the engine). But...since I have the 4AFE (the crappiest engine). I'm stuck with using creative ways to attach the air intake.

But....by the looks of the intake. It will need a 45 degree PVC pipe (2 1/2 inches). This can be usually found in home depot.

Below is the old air intake and the new one before taking it out of the box.

If you notice...the PVC pipe's lip is not completely rounded. You may have to dremel or sand the lip down to get an easier fit. I wouldn't recommend forcing the HKS on the PVC. When you're done. It should look like this...

The HKS intake should then point away from the engine to avoid any heat soak. Hence the short ram.

You might have to develop some other harnass to hold the intake suspended in under the hood or you might hear some noises from the HKS banging on the side next to the battery. This is usually the case when you accelerate often.

Enjoy!
