On the outside, he was a very simple guy with simple needs. He was many different things to many different people. A joker, a great chess player, a storyteller, and overall good man.
He loved to have fun, especially when he was with family. He was very close to his brothers and sisters and always showed the lighter side of life. He loved to gamble but fifty dollars would be enough for the whole day. In most cases, he would rather spend his money on a nice dinner or lunch with family and conversate about anything.
He was never married. However, he was very close to all of his nephews and nieces, including myself. He was my primary sponsor in my wedding and was extremely kind to my wife and her family. Our overpriced furniture from Crate and Barrel was a strong reminder of his unselfish generosity towards the people he loved and cared for. "Don't worry. If you like it, I'll get it", he would say.
He will be missed but always remembered.
For those that know him, please put a prayer in.
Thanks all. More info later on the how, when, etc.
