...and not just the "don't do this" or "do that". I'm a bit older now (not to mention married) and probably those who are reading this feel the same way. Sometimes we get the "obvious" advice but once in awhile we get the really good advice - the ones that stick out in your head and require more thought.
You sometimes have to take a break or be alone to take each word to heart but for the most part you're trying your best to understand and make the most of what you've been taught.
As we all get older we can't forget how much our parents do for us. Sometimes we do get ahead of ourselves and think about how they could do better but how could we even do that if we haven't been parents ourselves?
